Hi! I'm Fu-Lai, a theoretical physicist deeply interested in emergent self-organized phenomena in non-equilibrium systems, particularly in how large-scale patterns could arise from small-scale interactions. Specific examples include collective cell migration in wound healing and tissue shape formation during embryo development. Using a variety of approaches, such as mathematical modeling, computer simulations and image data analysis, to explore the physical mechanisms by which organized patterns form at the multiple spatial-temporal scales.
